Sunday morning freerolls at Multi
It’s damn early (9 AM), but it’s free for players who have played 200 raked hands or more. Even better, I made $30. The hourly rate for that is lousy, but it was fun. Here’s the hand that bounced me:

Anyway, I’m happy to finish where I did. At one point I was close to going out, but I doubled through a couple times with some lucky flops. I more than doubled through right before making it to the final table, but I don’t remember what I had then.
Three regrets: not calling with J9o on the button (would have flopped a set and made a boat on the river), not calling a bet on a scary flop with tens (the other guy had nines), not going all-in with jacks (I was on the bubble, and not willing to go out–so I guess I just regret the timing of this one).
Vegas
I don’t know that I’d play all that much blackjack if I were to go again, or even think about ordering a Red Bull and vodka, but this is a great story.
Better yet
Just finished an hour twenty minute session at .50/1 and ended up +28.87BB/100 hands. That’s way more like it.
On one table I was getting a run of good cards, as evidenced by my seeing the flop 30% of the time, and winning at showdown 100% of the time. Too bad everyone left that table. I went to another table, but that wasn’t really doing it for me, so after I found myself up by a quarter, I left.
Biggest win of this session, but probably played too cautiously, due to the scariness of the board:

Just finished a three and half hour session at the .50/1 tables (I figured my remaining bankroll wouldn’t stand the swings of the 1/2 tables) and ended up +5.53BB/100 hands. That’s more like it.
