This happened last year, too.
Generally speaking, I’m making fewer mistakes than my opponents, but the mistakes I do make still rankle.
I’m not sure what my plan for dealing with the slide is going to be. I’ll probably still keep playing, but throw in more PokerStars MTTs to fill up the time. Those guys are nuts!

I’d like to see your stats again this year (like you provided last year.) I think I know exactly what happened to you last year; and probably the same thing is happening again this year.
But, before I say anything (and not sure you’d want to hear it anyway), maybe you could post up your stats like you did last year.

Thanks for the comment, Pundit. Unfortunately I don’t have stats to share here because I was mostly playing on Full Tilt.
The total loss was about $900. $200 of that was from the bad beats at Hollywood Park. Another $50 I decided to note as a poker loss though it was really just dinner and the comedy show from the Hollywood Park night.
The rest was likely to be mostly $100NL at Full Tilt, with some $50NL, SNGs, and Tournaments mixed in. I think I dropped $100 playing 3/6 Razz for shits and giggles, too.
But feel free to share whatever insights you think you have for the numbers from last year.

I understand about the stats. I use PokerTracker, but not religiously, and as you noted, some sites just don’t provide the facility.
However, here’s what I suspect happened to you last year: it took a bit of time, but you got a reputation as a rock.
Therefore, nobody would pay you off big unless they had you beat. That’s why I suspect that in the latter part of the year, when your big hands came around, they didn’t pay as well. You also got fewer of them, of course.
If you play in a small pond, this type of strategy is going to become fairly obvious to your opponents over a much shorter period of time.
Just my opinion, but I’d say that $50 and $100 SNGs at Full Tilt is a really, really small pond of players. Hell, even at Stars, where the total pool of players on any given day is over 25,000, the folks regularly playing the $100 SNGs can be counted on fingers and toes. I have extensive notes on every one of them.
Not saying you shouldn’t play those; just noting how much easier it is for your opponents to detect your habits and devise and employ the appropriate strategy specifically designed to minimize the pot when you are in the hand.
This will have the effect of increasing your variance as the math of the game evens out. You probably run very hot, then very cool, then very hot; but rarely run medium (just a guess.)
My advice would be to either vary your play more; or the easier way would be to find a bigger pond by playing lower-limit games (more players, thus, you have security by obscurity), and play a site that has more players.
